2026 Entrance awards
Exceptional students in full-time, MRP (Master’s Research Paper) or coursework-based master's programs starting their studies in 2026 are eligible for the following funding packages. This includes both domestic and international students.
Academic Average of 85%+
- Entrance award: $4,000 (split between terms 1 and 2)
Academic Average between 80% and 84.5%
- Entrance award: $2,000 (Awarded in term 1)

Eligibility: Must have a completed application by February 1, 2026 and be pursuing a MRP or coursework-based masters full-time (Climate Change, Geography [MRP option], Economic Development and Innovation, Development Practice, Planning [MRP option], Social and Ecological Sustainability [MRP option], Sustainability Management [course-work option]). The academic average is calculated from your last two years of full-time study for domestic transcripts, and the overall average for international transcripts. Students awarded the $4,000 entrance scholarship must maintain a 78% average in the fall term to receive $2,000 in the winter term.
KEEN graduate entrance scholarship
Funded by KEEN Footwear, a $5,000 scholarship (split in Terms 1 and 2) will be awarded annually to two exceptional graduate students. The successful applicants must have a minimum cumulative average of 80% and preference will be given to a student who demonstrates leadership and community engagement. Eligibility is assessed through the student's admission application. Full scholarships criteria can be seen on the GSPA website.
