NEW - Public German Studies Website Launches
Public German Studies, which is an open access research webspace and open educational material repository for German Studies has launched. The site, developed by James Skidmore, Associate Professor and Director of the Waterloo Centre for German Studies at the University of Waterloo, is an exploration of how open education would work in a humanities/liberal arts field.
Open Education Week
Open Education Week, which runs from March 4 - 8, 2019, celebrates the open education movement and raises awareness of open education work and its impact on teaching and learning.

Experiential Learning in the Classroom
Experiential Learning using Riipen
Instructors, are you interested in incorporating an experiential learning opportunity into your online or on-campus course next term? You should consider taking part in Waterloo’s Riipen pilot project. Riipen is a micro-experiential learning platform facilitating connections among students, educators, and industry partners such as local companies, community organizations, government agencies and Non-Government Organizations.

As of August 1, 2018, the Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE) will be sharing our space on the second floor of EC3 on a temporary basis. Plans for CTE’s new permanent location are under discussion and will be shared with the university community when they are finalized.
