GI Showcase Participants to Pitch their Games

Thursday, April 2, 2015
For those of you who have kept up to date on our GI events, I would like to give you an exciting update regarding Jennifer Whitson's GBDA 302 class who were involved in our GI Showcase event in March.
Today is the final day for the GBDA 302 project class, and the students will be presenting their games to their Jamaican partners - eMedia Interactive - this afternoon from 1:30PM-3PM. They've made trailers and will be doing business pitches.
These students had GI members and community gamers alike come out to play-test their game prototypes during our first GI Showcase event on March 13th. Thanks to these students and our members who presented their research topics, this event was a huge success! The GBDA class continued their work on these exciting projects in preparation of their presentations today, April 2nd.
If you are not in the Stratford Campus area today, you can tune in using Adobe Connect.
For more information on what Jen's students have been up to, you can see the marketing videos, playtest postmortems and photos, and some other assorted blog posts on their course website, here: https://playstratford.wordpress.com/category/play-test-posts-reflections/ .
The reflections highlight their games and the students' experiences as they utilized the GI's Presentation Room for play-testing their games during the GI Showcase. Two of their teams have already officially showcased their games at a larger Stratford event!
Be sure to visit or tune in for their presentations today to support these budding game developers!
