Faculty of Health Book Club

Close up of many hardcover books.

Join the book club

Join our monthly Faculty of Health Book Club and connect with fellow undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty. Together, we’ll explore new perspectives through reading and discussion.

The 2025–2026 reading list highlights works that reflect a range of equity, diversity, and inclusion perspectives.

How it works

Meetings take place in person in BMH 3119 during the lunch hour (12 – 1 p.m.) on the scheduled dates. Participants are asked to obtain their own copy of the book. While the group reads one book each month, there’s no pressure to attend every session. Join when your schedule allows or when a book sparks your interest!

Frequently asked questions

Will the meetings be in person or online?

The book club meeting will be held in person only. All meetings are scheduled for B.C. Matthews Hall (BMH) 3119 from 12-1 pm on the dates as outlined in the schedule above.

How do I get the books?

The schedule above includes links to Indigo, but you can pick up a copy of the book (or audio book!) at your library, bookstore, or online.

How do book club discussions work?

The book club fosters informal, open conversation. You are encouraged to come with reflections or talking points, but there’s no pressure - listening and learning are equally valued.
