Faculty of Health Book Club
Join the book club
Join our monthly book club to connect with fellow Faculty of Health staff, faculty and grad students as we read and discuss to expand our horizons.
This year's selection will feature books from a variety of equity, diversity and inclusion perspectives.
How it works
Sign up below to join the club and you'll be notified of upcoming books and our monthly meeting. The book club meetings will be hybrid, with options to attend in person and online. You are responsible for picking up a copy of the book. The group will read one book every month, but you don't have to commit to reading every book!

Frequently asked questions
How often will books be read and what are the expectations?
We'll start by reading one book every month. You are not required to read every book or participate in every month’s discussion. We know finding time can be challenging. Just connect as often as you can.
Will the meetings be in person or online?
Both! The in-person location is listed in the schedule above. Join the book club email list and you’ll also be sent the Teams links for upcoming meetings if you prefer to participate virtually.
How do I get the books?
The schedule above includes links to Indigo, but you can pick up a copy of the book (or audio book!) at your library, bookstore, or online.
How do book club discussions work?
The book club will have a moderator who will pose questions to the book club to get started and facilitate conversation about topics in the book. Members will be encouraged to share as well.
I can no longer participate; how to I remove myself from your list?
Email Laura Williams and ask to be removed from the Faculty Book Club mailing list.
