The purpose of this fund is to retain and/or attract outstanding female graduate students, especially at the Ph.D. level. Thus these scholarships are normally awarded to women doctoral students. The fund can also be used to support students, both male and female, who are facing particular challenges such as family responsibilities.
Scholarships are awarded from this fund each term. Nominations are made by the Graduate Officers in each department, and these nominations must be forwarded to the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies by the following deadlines: October 28th, February 28th, and June 28th. Students who wish to be considered for one of these awards should talk to their Departmental Graduate Officer.
