Tipi Raising - Spring 2025

Join us for a Tipi Raising Ceremony! 

Elder Myeengun Henry will be leading a traditional tipi raising ceremony in recognition of National Indigenous History Month. Tipis are the traditional dwellings of the Plains Indigenous Nations, but they also serve as important visual and teaching lodges for many Indigenous groups across Canada and the United States.

The tipi will remain standing throughout the month of June as a space for reflection and learning. Everyone is welcome to attend, and volunteers are invited to take part in the raising itself.
