One of the longest-standing traditions at the University of Waterloo, the Fun Run will be held on the morning of University of Waterloo Homecoming this Fall.
About the event
Fun Run participants will have the option of completing a 2.5 km or 5 km run, jog or walk. This event is open to faculty, staff, alumni, students, families with strollers and community members of all ages. This is a fully accessible event. Participants are encouraged to join in on the fun and wear costumes for a chance to win prizes! See Fun Run archives for photos from past events. Music, games and the official warm-up will also add to the fun.
The event will include bib tag technology and results will be posted online as part of an official race in the running community.

This year’s event will help support the University’s ambitious Healthy Waterloo initiative. By harnessing our campus community as a “living lab,” we are creating a movement that takes health and well-being to a new level. With a focus on preventative health solutions, our goal is to inspire enhanced quality of life for all individuals, communities, and populations.
