This is the second movie in the Faculty of Health's Indigenous Movie Night series! We will be watching a comedy drama called 'The Grizzlies' which is based on the true story of a small Inuit town in Canada, Kugluktuk. A group of Inuit students are struggling with drug abuse, alcoholism and high rates of suicide following years of decimation and intergenerational trauma. When a new teacher arrives, he recognizes the need to bring hope and fun into their lives and introduces them to the sport of lacrosse. Join us as we watch this insightful true story about Indigenous resilience and companionship!

Content advisory: This film may contain scenes that may be disturbing to some viewers, especially those who are victims of harm, abuse, violence and/or intergenerational trauma. Viewer discretion is advised.
