Adil graduated with a BSc in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto.
While he was accepted into the Master of Public Health program at the University of Cambridge, he instead chose to pursue his residency in Ophthalmology with the University of Ottawa Eye Institute. Adil is currently chief resident for the Eye Institute. Adil graduated with a BSc in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto.
Adil's work providing eye-care is having a tremendous impact in the local Ottawa community. As co-program lead for I-Screen, a volunteer-driven program that provides vision screening for kindergarten children in socioeconomically disadvantaged schools – Adil trains the team of just over 90 medical student volunteers and to-date has provided screening for over 350 children. Next year, Adil will be travelling afield to Iqaluit, Nunavut to provide ocular care.
