Emerson Wins Early Researcher Award

Prof. Joseph Emerson has garnered an Early Researcher Award from the Ministry of Research and Innovation for his work on assessing and improving quantum information processing devices. Emerson is developing methods for assessing and improving the performance of quantum information devices in the presence of noise, a key step toward making large-scale quantum information processors viable.

Director of Operations to join IQC

Vito Logiudice will join the IQC team on June 1, 2008 and will be responsible for planning, management and the daily operation of the fabrication/metrology facility. Vito comes to us from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, where he worked as a Manager of the Micromachining Cleanroom Facility.
