UW–Tohoku University Joint Workshop on Materials and Devices will be held online on March 4, 2026, to advance collaborative research and support the emerging UW–TU Seed Funding Program.

The Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN), and the Office of Research at the University of Waterloo, and SAE Central Ontario Section are proud to host this strategic workshop. This event brings together leaders from PowerCo Canada, the National Research Council (NRC), and the University of Waterloo - Ontario Battery and Electrochemistry Research Centre (OBEC) to share insights on the latest research, technology advancements, and production capabilities shaping the EV battery landscape.

The Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) and the Faculty of Health are pleased to announce the host Interdisciplinary Workshop on Health Futures.

This event will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Toby Jenkins Applied Health Research Building, followed by you by a networking lunch, poster session and a tour of the facility.

WIN and the Faculty of Health are pleased to co-host a Summer School on Med-tech and Sustainable Nanotechnology at UWaterloo on June 2 – 4, 2025. The WIN Summer School will offer lab and facilities tours in the QNC, and in-class lectures by WIN members, senior PhD students and post-doctoral fellows.

The Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) and Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2) invite you to participate in an online Workshop to develop bottom-up research teams that could work towards EU Horizon Funding calls. The joint workshop takes place on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon EST.

The Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) will be hosting a joint workshop between WIN and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan, on November 5th. The workshop will run from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM, followed by a Networking Lunch until 2:00 PM.

Join us on Oct 1st, 2024 for a one-day interdisciplinary workshop, hosted by the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN), that will bring together scientists measuring the environment with those developing sensing technologies. The day will include presentations, breakout discussions, and networking with the goal of identifying ways we can collaborate to advance technology for environmental measurement.

The Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN), the Centre for Bioengineering and Biotechnology (CBB) and the Faculty of Health are pleased to present a joint workshop on the theme of "Health Technologies."

This event will take place on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in QNC 1501. A networking lunch will be hosted after the presentations.
