Save your (Primo) shelf

In December 10, 2019, University of Waterloo Library is moving to a new shared Library system called Omni, including a new and improved version of our Primo catalogue. Omni will provide fast and easy access to a vast collection of high-quality, academic material from 14 Ontario university libraries!

Unfortunately, saved items and search settings in your current Primo account will not migrate to the new version.

Make sure you export your e-shelf items and and saved searches by December 6, 2019.

See below for instructions on saving your e-shelf items and what to do with your saved search criteria.

Exporting items saved to your Primo e-Shelf

1. Sign in to Primo using your WatCard
2. Go to your e-Shelf
3. Go to the Basket and select all or individual results. Selected results can be printed, emailed or exported to the selected citation software.

Saving your search queries in Primo

1. Sign in to Primo using your WatCard
2. Go to your e-Shelf
3. Click on the Queries tab
4. Your currently saved searches won’t migrate to the new version of Primo. In order to save them, go to each individual search and copy the keywords or take a screen shots. Once our new system is up and running, you will be able to recreate and save your queries.
