ENGL 119 The purpose of English 119 is to help you develop the skills to communicate complex technical information effectively in a variety of professional contexts. You will learn oral forms of professional communication, such as those required for project management and professional presentations. You will also learn how to write professional blogs, proposals, reports, and procedural manuals with an eye to explaining mathematical and technical concepts in plain language. This course provides you with the tools you need to conduct research, problem-solve, collaborate professionally, and communicate results through a diverse array of projects. You will also create a portfolio of sample documents to show potential employers. This course has small class sizes and personalized interaction to provide the support you need to become an effective professional communicator.
