50th Anniversary - Bridges Math Art Conference

The annual Bridges Conference, will be hosted this year by the University of Waterloo Faculty of Mathematics.

This conference brings together an interdisciplinary group of mathematicians, scientists, artists, educators, musicians, writers, computer scientists, sculptors, dancers, weavers, model builders, weavers and many others in an atmosphere of mutual exchange and inspiration. 300 participants from six continents will gather in Waterloo.

Members of the community are invited to enjoy free public events during the Bridges Conference:

  • visual art exhibitions in the UW Art Gallery, Fed Hall and the Davis Centre July 28-30
  • an evening of choral pieces that explore relationships between mathematics and music July 29
  • Family day & Math-Art Expo hands-on activities, workshops, games, films and poetry that connect mathematics with art. Fun for all ages from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on July 30 in the Davis Centre.

These events are open to any and all who wish to join us.
