Join Naomi Paul, CTE Educational Developer, Indigenous Knowledges, for this drop-in workshop on land acknowledgements.  Learn more about what they are and why we have them; when and where they should be done, and master the pronunciation of the names and places mentioned in them!  This session is for faculty, grad students, postdocs, and staff.

Facilitator

Naomi Paul is a Métis woman who grew up here in Waterloo region. This is outside of the Georgian Bay Métis Community, which is her family's traditional hometown.

In both her work with the Centre for Teaching Excellence and in her studies as a PhD student in Systems Design Engineering, she brings her experiences growing up immersed in her Dutch settler heritage alongside her Métis heritage, as well as experiences throughout her continuing journey of discovering her identity.
