You will also have an opportunity to meet and hear updates from the Deans of the Faculties of Engineering, Mathematics and Science who will be at the reception.

Jesse Chor, Founder and CEO, TANDA
Jesse Chor (BCS ’04) is a Toronto native and University of Waterloo Bachelor of Computer Science graduate from the class of 2004, a serial entrepreneur with three startups under his belt. Currently, he is the founder and CEO of TANDA, a fintech startup focused on ensuring financial security for SMB workers, boasting backing from notable firms like Sequoia and Initialized Capital. Residing in the Bay Area, Jesse has a career history, including pivotal roles at Expedia, Yahoo, and Splunk, and was the Founder of SPARQ, once the world's leading QR code company, which Yahoo acquired in 2014. A fervent advocate for the Waterloo Co-op program, Jesse has significantly contributed to hiring over a thousand Co-op students, demonstrating his commitment to fostering new talent in the tech industry.
Fangjin (FJ) Yang, Co-Founder and CEO, Imply
Fangjin (FJ) Yang (BAS ’07, MASc ’09) is the co-founder and CEO of Imply, a Silicon Valley unicorn B2B tech startup. Imply has raised 215M+ in primary capital from leading firms such as Andreeseen Horowtiz, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Thoma Bravo. FJ began his career as a software developer and is the creator of Apache Druid, a popular analytics database used by many of the world's largest companies. He grew up in Calgary, Alberta and graduated from the University of Waterloo, where he is a distinguished alumnus.
