Tony Chan
The Cheriton School of Computer will hold the next edition of its Distinguished Lecture Series on June 15, featuring Tony Chan, the President of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.

Chan is one of several people getting an honorary degree from Waterloo at convocation and has graciously agreed to take the opportunity to give a talk while visiting the campus.

The talk will offer a personal and historical view of computational mathematics, a field in which Chan is a pioneer.

Professor Chan assumed his role as the third president of KAUST in September 2018 after nearly a decade as president of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

The event is scheduled to take place on June 15 at 2:00 PM in DC 1302. Chan's talk will also be live-streamed on MS Teams.

More details are on the event page from the Cheriton School of Computer Science.
