Faculty of Mathematics alum Judy Dinn takes on CIO role for TD Bank NA

Judy Dinn, a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics, has taken a new role as the chief information officer (CIO) for Toronto Dominion Bank’s US subsidiary, TD Bank NA.

Dinn completed a BMath in computer science and business, before going on to a career in the banking and finance sectors and working for companies including BMO, CIBC, Royal Bank, and JP Morgan Chase.

Her affiliation with Waterloo also included work with the Think About Math initiative, which partnered with the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) to encourage young women to pursue education and careers in STEM fields.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal on her new role, Dinn said one of her priorities is to continue to encourage women to pursue careers in tech.
