Thirteen University of Waterloo researchers have received $16.2 million for 16 projects advancing quantum science and technology.
The funding includes $25,000 each for two projects by researchers from the Faculty of Mathematics: Dr. Roberto Guglielmi, assistant professor of Applied Mathematics, and Dr. Ashwin Nayak, professor of Combinatorics and Optimization.
The National Quantum Strategy (NQS), launched by the Government of Canada, aims to amplify Canada’s significant strengths in quantum research, grow its quantum-ready technologies, companies and talent and solidify Canada ’s global leadership in this area.
