Patricia Gauthier is currently a Senior Manager at Magellan Consulting in Paris, France, specializing in data protection & IT security, and in particular, providing expertise for the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), guiding clients to fulfill their obligations for compliance. During the covid-19 pandemic, Patricia and her colleagues at Magellan have been assisting clients to ensure business continuity, deploying secure remote work environments & collaborative tools and providing cybersecurity and crisis management expertise.
Patricia is also the University of Waterloo Global Alumni Ambassador in France and unites with other Canadian University Alumni ambassadors to animate the alumni network in France holding regular events and helping new alumni to France adapt to the French culture and ways of life.
Prior to her current position, Patricia was a co-founder and senior business development executive for the software startup OXIAL specializing in Governance, Risk Management and Compliance solutions.
Patricia graduated in 1987 from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours Co-op) majoring in Computer Science.
