Why Waterloo?
I chose Waterloo mostly because of the co-op and the prestige that the university has. Wherever you go, having a BMath from the University of Waterloo will speak volumes and will help you in many different ways. Also, I liked accounting and math in high-school and the Math/CPA program allows me to pursue both majors at the same time.
Advice for first-year students
Get Involved! Along with a great learning experience, University is supposed to be fun. Getting involved with your residence building, your faculty, and any other clubs that you are interested in make first year a lot more fun. Secondly, professors are the nicest people on campus! Everything portrays university professors as if they don't care about their students. This is as far from right as you can get. Never get nervous around them and always ask for help if you need it!
