The University of Waterloo is committed to performance, quality, accountability and transparency. We recognize that institutional performance measurement is vital for sound planning and the strategic management of our resources.
The performance measures presented here provide high level indicators of University activity. These indicators are presented to the Board of Governors annually and provide University governance bodies and members of the wider community with a statistical profile of the University of Waterloo. Performance indicators are also a core component of our revitalized Strategic Plan’s accountability framework.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Indigenous Initiatives Office.
