Congratulations Class of 2023!

The School of Planning is excited to celebrate your graduation with a Celebration Luncheon held prior to the Convocation Ceremony on June 13th, 2023. This is an important tradition meant to honour you with a memorable farewell.

The School of Planning is pleased to share that UWPAT will be hosting the 31st Annual Toronto Planning Dinner, to be held on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Keynote speaker Chris Turner, an award-winning journalist! 

The School of Planning is pleased to announce it will hold its annual Welcome to Planning ceremony on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM. 

This is an opportunity for incoming undergraduate and graduate students to celebrate their entry into the Planning community, and for their families and friends to hear about the interesting and exciting work that we do at uWaterloo Planning.

The School of Planning is pleased to announce that the University of Waterloo Planning Alumni of Toronto (UWPAT) is once again hosting its annual in-person dinner! The dinner will be held on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. Planning Students' Association (PSA) presents the Waterloo x TMU Planning Conference! The theme of the conference is Converging Perspectives: Piecing Together the Urban Mosaic.

Dr. Brian Doucet is hosting a FREE screening of his documentary film “Thinking Beyond the Market: A Film About Genuinely Affordable Housing”

The School of Planning is pleased to announce that the University of Waterloo Planning Alumni of Toronto (UWPAT) is once again hosting its annual in-person dinner! The dinner will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. The keynote speaker is Dr. Fadi Masoud! For more details about the event and our keynote speaker, please visit the UWPAT website.

As part of their cross-Canada tour to discuss CIP’s Imaging Canada in 2100 project, the School of Planning will be hosting the Canadian Institute of Planners' College of Fellows for a panel discussion on the future of planning. 

The panel will include a variety of topics, including climate change, shifting demographics and economic conditions, affordable housing, municipal infrastructure.
