Planner in Residence 2025-2026 - Leslie Woo
The School of Planning is pleased to announce our Planner in Residence for the 2025-2026 academic year, Leslie Woo. She will deliver PLAN 403 in the winter term to our 4th year undergraduate students and engage with the School community throughout the year.
Leslie is a visionary urban planner and civic leader with 25+ years' experience spanning the public, private and non-profit sectors. She has been recognized for advancing housing affordability, civic engagement, infrastructure planning, and governance innovation. Leslie is currently CEO of CivicAction Leadership Foundation, leading initiatives to mobilize leaders across Canada's largest urban region. She is the former Chief Planning & Development Officer at Metrolinx, with extensive leadership in government, city-building, and community development. Leslie is also a graduate of the Planning and Architecture programs at the University of Waterloo.
