The decisions we make every day regarding our activities and travel choices are impacted by a range of factors – where we chose to live and work are often key among them.  In this news article, Dr. Woudsma comments on another key factor – the rising cost of gasoline (and diesel for the trucking and rail industries).  The bottom line is for Canadians across the geographic and socio-economic landscape, the lack of viable activity and mobility choices makes the auto the de facto necessity for our lives and the rising prices don’t translate to changing behaviours in the short term. Of note in this article, our colleague Dr. Bruce Hellinga from engineering is featured as well.  Enjoy the read!
