Maple Leaf Fund

The Maple Leaf Fund supports newcomers to Canada with Protected Person status who wish to pursue or, in many cases, resume their university studies, but need to improve their English language skills. This scholarship is awarded to one student per term, enrolled in full-time studies, and covers all associated study expenses such as tuition and ancillary fees.  The Maple Leaf Fund is offered as funds are available.  

Eligibility:  

  • Must be 18 years of age or older 
  • Must show proof of protected person status in Canada 
  • Must be available for full-time, in-person studies (Monday to Friday from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm) 
  • Must have a Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN) 
  • Must meet the language proficiency required (B1/B2) to participate in the EFAS program.  (Applicants can complete a free online test to get an idea of their current level).
