About the Scholarship
WalterFedy is a national architecture and engineering firm with a 75-year history of investing in the communities they serve. Renison University College values diversity and equity within its student body and has partnered with WalterFedy to establish this scholarship. The award is intended to help address historical and contemporary injustices that have created barriers to higher education for members of marginalized communities, particularly Indigenous, Black, and Students of Colour.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have applied for full‑time studies beginning Fall 2026 in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program.
- Priority will be given to students from marginalized communities, as described above, who have experienced barriers to higher education.
- Some consideration will be given to demonstrated financial need.
- Priority will be given to first‑generation students, defined as students whose parent(s) or guardian(s) have not completed a university degree.
