Windows
- Open Teams and navigate to the Teams site channel or folder you want to create a shortcut from.
- Select the Teams channel or folder you want as a shortcut. Click on the three dots at the top right and from the dropdown menu, select "Add shortcut to OneDrive" and wait for the confirmation message saying the shortcut has been added to your OneDrive.
- Open OneDrive through File Explorer and the shortcut will appear as a folder with a small arrow under OneDrive "YourName - University of Waterloo - FolderName".
MacOS

Adding shortcuts to OneDrive doesn't sync anything directly to your computer, so it won't affect your OneDrive storage. It simply creates a link to the document library or folder. You will need an internet connection to access and edit the content — offline access is unavailable with this feature.
- This feature only works for internal users — you cannot add shortcuts to folders shared with external users outside the University of Waterloo.
