The Faculty of Science, alongside the Faculties of Engineering and Mathematics, are delighted to host an alumni reception in Seattle in October. At this games night and social, you will enjoy great food and a selection of over 30 craft beers on tap as well as fun games (unlimited mini golf and duffleboard) while you catch up with your University of Waterloo classmates from Science, Math and Engineering.
Dr. Chris Houser, Dean of Science, and Dr. Mary Wells, Dean of Engineering, will be at the event to connect with you and share the latest news from the University of Waterloo community.
The Faculty of Science invites alumni to cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays as they take on the St. Louis Cardinals on September 13. Tickets include a ticket to the game in section 517 and a limited edition Blue Jays and University of Waterloo co-branded tumbler.

On November 21st, we are excited to host Anne Dagg, her daughter, and the exhibit creator for an informal discussion about Anne's experiences, the meaning behind the current exhibit pieces and poems in STC, and action we can take for a better future for Science. Join us at 4:00pm at STC 2001 (the study space on the 2nd floor) for hot drinks and pastries and an insightful chat. This is a free event and does not require registration.
We would like to cordially invite you to an exhibition by Ukrainian students “War in life, life in war” hosted by Science Museums and Galleries from the Faculty of Science. On Wednesday, October 5th from 12:30-1:30 pm, Ukrainian students will attend the exhibit in the STC atrium to tell us stories about the resilience and resistance of Ukrainian people, show pictures from their hometowns and home universities, and share their first-hand experiences with the war being waged on their country by Russia. Coffee and Ukrainian treats will be provided.
