Program: Physics and Astronomy
Stream of study: Co-op
Career goal: Graduate school in astrophysics and to conduct my own research
How I get involved: I work at the PAC Rock Climbing Wall! It's a ton of fun, everyone should come check it out.
Why I love my program
I really love the blend of theoretical physics and astronomy with the hands-on aspects we get in the lab courses, like PHYS 370L when we used the campus observatory to make our own observations.
Why University of Waterloo?
When I toured UW I felt that it had a really strong sense of community between the students which was a huge part of why I came here. Also, the co-op program is really unique and has given me amazing experiences I wouldn't have had otherwise, like working with satellite data at Environment and Climate Change Canada or participating in a stratospheric balloon campaign in Northern Ontario.
