Why I love my program

Scientists never operate in isolation. Whether we are talking about finances and budgeting, writing engaging reports and proposals, or presenting to your peers and the community, we are seeing an increased need of scientists with business skillsets. Simply, the stronger communicator you are, the more influence and impact your work can have! SciBus as a degree is structured to give you those skills that help differentiate you in the workplace while also letting you explore the science fields you are passionate about!

Why University of Waterloo?

I grew up surrounded by UW alumni, and their passion for their alma matter left a long-standing impact on me. In a way, I always knew I wanted to go here, partially because of co-op, but even more so because of how connected the alumni I spoke to were. It seemed that UW grads stuck together, and that reflected a school culture that I wanted to be a part of!

Of course, it goes without saying that UW also is filled with amazing research opportunities and innovators, which contribute to the focus on learning and growth that fills the campus.
