Our Peer Success Coaches offer a variety of workshops that can help you improve your study skills. All of our workshops are activity based and give you the opportunity to participate and learn through practice.

      Can't find the workshop that's right for you through the Student Success Office? No problem. There are a range of workshops offered on campus for Waterloo students.

      • Writing skills: Enhance your writing and practice new writing skills.
      • Research skills: Save yourself time and aggravation during the assignment crunch. Check out the Library's research skills workshops for tips on everything from research alerts to RefWorks to literature reviews.
      • The Centre for Career Action offers workshops on career exploration, decision making, networking, interview skills and more.
      • Counselling Services workshops cover stress management, mindful eating, mindfulness and more.
      • If you live in residence, Check out the Maximize Potential Certificate program – many of these workshops are happening right in your residence as part of this program.
      • Velocity Start offers workshops on everything from pitch coaching to cold calling to business model generation.
       

      Peer Success Coaching Drop-ins @ the Library

      Dana Porter (DP): 5 - 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays

      Davis Centre (DC): 5 - 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays

      Winter 2019 drop-ins will be run from January 7 to April 4. 

      Please note: Drop-ins @ the Library will not be available from February 18-22 during Reading Week.

      Feeling overwhelmed by your course load? Need a quick tip on how to study more effectively? Attend a drop-in!

      Peer Success Coaches are now available in the Library (DC and DP) for 20 minute drop-in sessions to support your academic success.

      At the end of your drop-in session, you can choose to book a follow-up appointment with a Peer Success Coach, attend a Study Skills Workshop, or connect with another campus resource.
