November wrap up: Student Life

While it started to snow and the seasons truly began to change, the livelihood of St. Paul’s Student Life stayed the same. Over the month of November, there were countless opportunities for LLC students to gather with their peers and take a little time away from studying!

On Wednesday, November 10th the St. Paul’s Booster Club went out to support the Waterloo Warriors Women’s Basketball team as they played their home opener for the 2021/2022 season. Facing off against the Windsor Lancers, the game held tight but ended with success for the Warriors! With a final score of 64-61, the Warriors won their first game on their home court this year and against the Lancers for the first time in over 10 years.

Given the growing impact of climate change, building environmentally sustainable products and services has become more important than ever before. So, it comes as no surprise that GreenHouse (GH) students continue to build ventures with a sustainability focus. Whether it’s a product or service to help you consume more sustainably, or an idea to support existing businesses transition into a more sustainable business model.

On November 25, a number of enthusiastic GreenHouse innovators came together to pitch their latest ventures to a panel of judges from across St. Paul’s community during its most recent Social Impact Showcase, with all four presenting ventures winning funding.
