Lupus is a tricky illness that looks very different in different people, but one key similarity is that the disease can have significant effects on the working life of those living with lupus, with related economic impact.
Andrea Santi (BES ’12) loves basketball. The sport has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. She plays, she refs and she’s even a time-keeper for the KW Titans of the semi-pro National Basketball League of Canada. She is also a massive supporter of the Toronto Raptors.
Congratulations are in order for young alumnus and former St. Paul’s employee André Moreau for completing a double degree in Law at McGill with distinction.
Principal Richard Myers is pleased to announce that the Jackman Reading Room is now operational. The initial collection of fifty volumes has been delivered and is ready to be read!
It was supposed to increase accessibility, but it also “opened the door” to so much more.
The Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre at St. Paul’s opened in 2012, providing a welcome space for the sharing of Indigenous knowledge, culturally relevant information and support services for all members of the University of Waterloo community, including Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, staff, and faculty.
“It’s not about me,” says Gary Foerster, newly appointed Chair of St. Paul’s Board of Governors. “It’s about St. Paul’s and its exciting future.”
For Foerster, that exciting future is all about the vibrant student community at the College.
Historic no-hitter a big hit with Indigenous youth
Thanks to a donation from MNP LLP, a group of Indigenous youth attending the DIRECTIONS conference with the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre (WISC) had front row seats for baseball history at Rogers Centre on May 8.
St. Paul's is pleased to support the University's Indigenization strategy, and wish Waterloo Aboriginal Education Centre Director Lori Campbell well in her seconded role.
