Lead by the Office of the Registrar (RO), Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA), and Information Systems & Technology (IST), the Academic Calendar and Curriculum Management (ACCM) project was launched to search for a replacement for an aging system that requires significant manual intervention and has little to no vendor support (Academic Calendar Maintenance System) and for a heavily customized web content management system (WCMS) website.
The aim of the ACCM project is to find a new system that will both:
- manage and publish the University of Waterloo's two academic calendars (undergraduate and graduate), and
- automate and optimize curriculum approval processes for items like new courses, course changes, or changes to academic requirements and regulations.
Moving forward with Kuali
A request for proposal (RFP) was completed during the winter 2022 term and the contract awarded to Kuali. Learn more about the benefits of this new system, implementation plans and project timelines, and plans for engaging and working with campus stakeholders.
We look forward to sharing more information about these exciting new tools once the initial business process review is complete.
