Make a gift

The Department of Economics welcomes donations from groups and individuals to support our educational and research goals.

We appreciate donations to our Economics Fund as these allow us to support student success in a variety of ways.  For example, recently we have assisted undergraduate and graduate students with the cost of travelling to conferences to present their research.  We have also purchased a computer server for graduate students who require significant computational capacity for their research. We have supported undergraduate student events and initiatives such as conferences hosted by our Economics Society.

We are also very grateful for donations to our Distinguished Lecture Fund to support our annual lecture series.  Through the generosity of donors to this fund, we have invited leading economics researchers to campus to give a public lecture and meet with students, faculty and alumni. The lecture and resulting networking opportunities greatly enrich our students’ educational experiences.

To make a gift to Economics, click on Donate Now.  Then select ‘My Faculty’. Next choose ‘Faculty of Arts’.  Then choose ‘Other fund’, and enter the name ‘Economics Fund’ or ‘Economics Distinguished Lecture Fund’.

Suggestions for specially designated scholarships are welcome. Contributions are also welcome for existing bursaries and scholarships at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Please contact Lutz Busch, Chair of the Department of Economics, or the Faculty of Arts' Director of Advancement, Kim Bardwell for details.
