Nominations for six seats on the FAUW Board of Directors closed on Tuesday. We received one nomination for each of the seats for Engineering, Environment, and Health faculty. Marios Ioannidis, Nancy Worth, and Shannon Majowicz will be acclaimed at the April 6 general meeting.
There are multiple candidates for the seats reserved for members from Arts and Math, so there will be an election for each of those seats. The candidates for the Arts seat are (in alphabetical order) Clive Forrester, Aimée Morrison, and Paul Wehr. The candidates for the Math seat are Anton Mosunov and Nomair Naeem.
We did not receive any nominations from members in the Faculty of Science during the nomination period, and the Nominating and Elections Committee is determining how best to proceed with filling that seat.
Voting for the Arts and Math seats will run from March 21 until noon on April 4.Faculty members in Arts and Math who were voting members as of March 15 will receive a link to the ballot on Monday morning.
The results will be announced at the Spring General Meeting on April 6.
