Tina Chan, Public Health and Health Systems MSc graduate, will be running a workshop at Pushing the Paradigm at the University of Toronto. Pushing the Paradigm focuses on broadening our understanding of mental health.
The conference will bring together voices from various fields such as academia, social services, healthcare, policy and individuals with life experience. Chan's workshop will be focusing on mental health innovation and will be presented to students in the public health field.
Chan's workshop will focus on analyzing mental health issues by using a Fishbone diagram, which helps attendees identify specific root causes to mental health issues. She intends for attendees to analyze how they think about mental health in a way that will encourage them to continue this work outside of the workshop through research, entrepreneurship or activism.
