2025 Faculty of Health Graduate Mentorship Award recipients announced
Congratulations to the 2025 Faculty of Health Graduate Mentorship Award recipients:
- Dr. Abel Torres-Espin (School of Public Health Sciences), recipient of the Emerging Mentorship Award
- Dr. Warren Dodd (School of Public Health Sciences), recipient of the Mid-career Mentorship Award
- Dr. Monica Maly (Kinesiology and Health Sciences), recipient of the Senior Mentorship Award
This year's recipients were selected from a pool of exceptional mentors who have made a profound impact on the academic careers and lives of their students. Thank you to the graduate students and faculty colleagues who submitted letters of support, and to the adjudication committee for their diligent work in reviewing them.
The Graduate Mentorship Awards are presented annually to honour faculty members who have made a meaningful impact through the mentorship of graduate students. Award criteria include fostering students’ skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, self-directed learning and communication, commitment to students’ personal and professional development, effective research planning, and providing a supportive environment that stimulates creativity, debate, and engagement.
The next call for nominations for the Faculty of Health Graduate Mentorship Award will happen in Spring 2026.
