Remembering Cassie Bechard

The campus community is mourning the loss of friend and colleague Cassie Bechard, who passed away June 24.

The little cedar tree that was planted last year in the BMH courtyard as a symbol of reconciliation has grown. It was unveiled at the Faculty of Health’s first Commitment Ceremony last June 20, a day before National Indigenous Peoples Day. It represents the commitment the Faculty has made toward Indigenization, with Indigenous Knowledge Keeper Myeengun Henry leading and facilitating the way.
