The past year has been challenging for teachers, staff, and students alike. The shift to remote learning has been a significant adjustment, and we are all balancing a range of demands, including bridging the virtual divide; creating accessible, inclusive remote learning spaces; supporting student mental health and well-being; helping students stay on track with course progression; facilitating faculty events; managing accommodations for co-op and other placements; undergraduate and graduate student mentorship; peer mentorship; delivering engaging, meaningful content; and more.
The Faculty of Health Teaching Fellows have created a one-time Faculty of Health Remote Teaching and Mentorship Award to honour the valuable contributions that our faculty and staff have made—and continue to make—toward creating a vibrant, collegial, supportive, engaging remote learning environment during this unprecedented year.
