View current job postings
To view a summary of job postings that you are currently recruiting for:

Log in to WaterlooWorks.
- From your Dashboard, click the Job Postings tab to see a summary of your current job posting(s).
- Note: To see jobs from previous and future terms, click the X beside Current Postings to remove this filter.
- Note: To see jobs from previous and future terms, click the X beside Current Postings to remove this filter.
- Scroll across the page to see a summary of your job posting(s). The fields you will see include:
- Term: There are three terms at the University of Waterloo. This column shows the term you’re looking to hire for. Waterloo’s terms are:
- Winter: January to April
- Spring: May to August
- Fall: September to December
- Module: The job board your job was submitted to.
- Job ID: The unique number assigned to your job posting in WaterlooWorks.
- Job Title: Information to identify your posting and role that the student will have during the work term.
- Employer Internal Job Number: The internal tracking numbers you may have entered in your job posting.
- Job Posting Status: Will populate to reflect the status of your job.
- Apps: The number of applications you’ve received to the posting.
- Filled: The number of students employed for this job.
- Date Posted: The date your job was posted.
- Date Approved: The date your job was approved.
- Term: There are three terms at the University of Waterloo. This column shows the term you’re looking to hire for. Waterloo’s terms are:
- Click the buttons next to each job posting to:
- View: See a specific posting in more detail. See the detailed instructions for viewing a specific job posting in more detail below.
- Repost: Quickly repost your job in an upcoming cycle.
- Note: You may see jobs listed multiple times if posted to various boards/terms. When reposting a job, be sure to select the correct job and job board.
- View Apps: View any applications your job received. Learn more about viewing and screening applications.
To view a specific job posting in more detail:
- From the Job Postings tab, click the View Posting button.
- Within each posting, you’ll see additional details such as:
- Your job description
- Applications received
- Interview details
- Rankings
- Work term records
- You’ll also see an internal status that reflects where your job in the hiring process. Here is a summary of what each status means:
- Pending New or Pending Changed: Our service team has not yet approved your job posting. Students can’t see or apply to the job until it is approved.
- Approved: We have reviewed and approved your job, however it’s not visible to students until the go-live date.
- Open for Applications: The go-live date has passed. Students can search and apply to your posting however you won’t see the applications yet.
- Open for Views: The go-live date has passed. Students can view your posting on the Employer-Student Direct job board.
- Expired–Apps Available: Students can no longer apply to your posting. You can now review your applications.
- Closed for Views: Students can no longer view your posting on the Employer-Student Direct job board.
- Interview Selections Complete: You’ve submitted your interview schedule and students are in the process of selecting their timeslots.
- Interview Completed: Your interview date has passed.
- Emp Rankings Finalized: We’ve received your rankings and your job will go into the corresponding ranking round.
- Filled, Unfilled, or Part Filled: The status of your job after the match.
- Unfilled - reposted or Part Filled - reposted: Your job was not filled in the last cycle match and has been reposted.
- Stalled:You have not responded to any of our communications regarding your job posting.
- Cancel: Your job has been cancelled as you are no longer recruiting.
Edit a job posting
- Log in to WaterlooWorks.
- From your dashboard, select Job Postings and click View next to the job you want to edit.
- Note: You cannot edit a posting that has a status of Open for Applications, Open for Views or Expired. If you’re unable to edit your job posting, please send a message to your service team to make any necessary changes.
- Select Posting Options from the navigation menu, followed by Edit Posting Details.
- Use this menu to make changes to the employment details or add pre-screening questions.
- To request changes to your interview reservation or schedule, contact your account co-ordinator.
- Make your changes, then click Submit Changes for Approval. If the job was already approved, our service team will need to reapprove it before students can continue to apply.
