Three subjects at the University of Waterloo rank in the top 50 in the world and eight other subjects rank among the top 100, according to the U.K. firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject.
Subject ranking highlights for the Faculty of Mathematics:
- Mathematics - 20th in the world, second in Canada
- Computer Science - 24th in the world, second in Canada
- Statistics and Operational Research - top 100 in the world
