International Women’s Day is a celebration and commemoration of the scientific, cultural, political and socio-economic achievements of women, held annually on March 8.
This year, the Women in Mathematics Committee (WiM) is hosting a special International Women’s Day event to mark the occasion. Join WiM members on March 8 for refreshments at the UW Egg fountain followed by a scenic group walk. All are welcome to join. Find more details and register at the event page.
The University of Waterloo is hosting several other events to mark the day, including a virtual International Women’s Day keynote and panel discussion.
