On behalf of The School of Planning we are pleased to share that Professor Martine August was featured on CBC’s The Fifth Estate.

“Priced Out: Canada's rental crisis”, examines the soaring rental costs in Canada and the growing trend of large investment companies buying up rental properties across the country. This episode shares expert opinions and personal experiences to help explain what is driving rental prices up, and for some, out of their homes. Dr. August addresses the extravagant profits of financial firms in rental housing and how the rental crisis is impacting low income and marginalized communities in particular.
