The School of Planning offers our sincere congratulations to 2014 Alumni Rukshan de Silva for receiving the Young Planner of the Year award in New South Wales! Rukshan also completed a Master of Economic Development and Innovation (MEDI) at Waterloo before embarking on his very successful
career in both the private (HOK) and public (Town of Halton) sectors. He is currently employed as an Executive Planner with the New South Wales Department of Planning and Environment in Sydney, Australia. The commendation for his award noted that he is an outstanding ambassador for the profession and has made a strong contribution to improving processes and striving for innovation within their Department of Planning and Environment. Well done Rukshan.
