The School of Planning would like to congratulate MES student Emma Borho on receiving the Dillon Consulting Limited Scholarship at the 2024 Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) National Conference.
This scholarship was awarded to Emma by the CIP/ICU Planning Student Trust Fund (CIP-PSTF) for the excellence and potential impact of Emma’s current work, titled “Exploring rural children’s perspectives of health and neighbourhoods: A study in Bruce County, Ontario.” This qualitative research study explores rural kids’ environments and their health through 20 interviews conducted by Emma with rural children between the ages of 7-15 in Bruce County, Ontario. Thanks to the support of the CIP-PSTF Ages Foundation, Emma was able to travel to Edmonton to receive the scholarship in person.
