Launch Your Career 2023

Welcome to the School of Accounting and Finance (SAF)!

As a Waterloo SAF student, you are an integral part of our mandatory co-op program, and one of the first steps on your co-op journey is participating in the Launch Your Career (LYC) conference.

The Young Tax Professionals (YTP) program offers students with an interest in a career in taxation the opportunity to closely interact with faculty, alumni, and other full-time tax professionals.

AFM student uses goal setting to make the most of UWaterloo career

ritvik
My name is Ritvik and I’m a 4A Accounting and Financial Management (AFM) student (although it feels like no time has passed since my first year). When I started my university career, I set out with one goal for myself: to get to know everyone in my program within my year.

1st place team YTP
This year was the third time the Young Tax Professionals (YTP) Case Competition took place, with students having the opportunity to utilize skills they acquired from their past co-op experiences to tackle a given topic.
