Do you know where to go when you’re ready to start researching university programs? No? Personally, I started by making a list of what I was interested in studying, the programs available in the Faculty of Arts, the admission requirements, and whether or not it offered co-op. I knew I wanted co-op, but didn’t know whether the program I wanted is available or had co-op. With my list, I went onto the official University of Waterloo website since it is the only university I am considering. I eventually learned that the University of Waterloo has four university colleges. Renison, St. Jerome’s, St. Paul’s, and Conrad Grebel. They each offer their own smaller tight-knit communities within the bigger community of the University of Waterloo. They also all have their own residence and specializations. For example, St. Paul's specializes in environment. If you are looking to be more prepared for university, I’d suggest starting your research with going onto the official website of the universities you’re wanting to look into and all available options, like these university colleges at Waterloo and creating a base of information before diving deep into program and admission details.
