March Break Open House 2019
Some students are pretty certain on their path after graduate school or postdoctoral fellowship, but many are still unsure. In this Big Kids on Big Problems session, we will share our thoughts on the merits of either path and some considerations in long term planning.
In this workshop for Science students, you will learn how to showcase your assets for high-impact results. Through analyzing job postings, you will gain the skills to build effective bullet points that help you stand out to employers – and get that interview!
Have you ever written a test or exam and then were surprised or disappointed by the mark you had received? Do you try to memorize course material but not actually "learn" it or remember it later? In Science courses, it can be challenging to learn mass amounts of information and learn the material at a higher level of learning (that is being tested)!
Faculty members, Research staff, Safety Office staff, Research Ethics staff, and Information Systems & Technology staff involved in research using biological, chemical, radiological, or nuclear materials or technology are invited to join Public Safety Canada (PSC) for the Safeguarding science workshop.
Visit us on Wednesday, March 13th for some March Break dinosaur fun beginning at 1:00 P.M. The program is free and all ages are welcome!
Calling all Science graduate students. Attend the GSA Science Town Hall to share your opinions and concerns regarding graduate advisors/supervisors, TA experience, tuition and student services.
This full-day event offered by GRADventure, the Library, the Writing and Communication Centre and other campus partners will offer graduate students and postdoctoral fellows an overview of the world of academic publishing.
Networking is a key skill that gives students the opportunity to connect with professionals in their fields of interest.
